Summary

A CEO, Vice President and other Corporate Officers of a public corporation who ignored a 2001 California State Injunction not to have broken HVAC systems in nursing homes after killing patients in 2000 in Burlingame, California?  Yes, Richard K. Matros, William Mathies, Chauney Hunker and others of Sun Healthcare failed to inform their Medical Directors of this state injunction dated 2001.  They refused to follow demands by the State June 4, 2003, to install a new HVAC system in his Newport Beach SunBridge facility in 2003 and told Chuck DeCapite of OSHPD so.  When I requested a copy of those demands in 2010 I found the file had been purged of those documents I provided my attorney when I sued Sun in 2005.  This proves fraud and begins tolling in 2010.  Although there are no statutes of limiation on murder.  Those documents are posted on this website and prove how corrupt SUN and the DOJ were when they settled in Sept 2005 for a mere $2.5 M for violating that 2001 injunction.  The Office of Statewide Hospital Pubic Facilities Development issued not only requests but demands that Sun immediately replace the condemned HVAC system in July, 2003, signed by Chuck DeCapite.  Sun ignored those demands and that contributed to the death of my late mother, Evelyn Calvert.  She contracted MRSA from that facility and as a result of the lack of ventilation in her room exasperated her condition to the degree she suffered nine more months before dying in July, 2004.  She was consistently dehydrated so often that shortly after leaving the facility in December, 2003, she suffered complete renal failure.  It was a horror to watch.  We begged this CEO for help, even his Medical Director, Dr L Scott Stoney begged for help but he chose to ignore us.  Why?  Maybe because he was a known cheater and Dr Stoney could destroy his marriage.  I don't know anything about that but have been told -and as we know, once a cheater always a cheater.  Did this horrible CEO also cheat his partners (shareholders) when Sun entered into a sale in 2010 with Genesis.  It would follow suit.

I can prove Sun violated it's State Injunction in 2003 on these dates: May 28, June 3,5,6,9,12,13,14,15,28 and 29.  That Richard Laga left the facility July 6 for the acute care hospital because he had gangrene.  With lack of staffing on those dates is it any wonder Sun caused his death from gangrene?  The Dept of Health cited Sun, yet the Dept of Justice, via the BMFEA did not hold Sun responsible for his death when they settled with Sun in Sept 2005 and fined them $2.5 Million for violating that injunction.  Why this corruption?  Sun began a policital action committee 2 months before my mother died in May, 2004, giving congress members over $400,000 annually.  The manager of that P.A.C. was none other than Julie Campbell, the employee of Sun who apologised to me for Richard K Matros when my mother suffered yet another stroke in October, 2003.  A bogus telephone message from Dr Stoney was planted in her medical records stating to withhold all blood pressure medications.  No good Dr would ever give that order to a stroke victim.  What's going on here?  Retaliation for getting the DOJ to investigate?

What does Rick Matros really know about care in a nursing facility? He allowed 5 patients to die in his hometown Newport Beach, Calif, in a SunBridge facility he operated in 2003, while the families pleaded for help. (Stella Carter, Richard Laga, Betty Harness, Evelyn Calvert and the man in Rm 2 B in Oct 2003).  Even Sun's Medical Director, Dr L Scott Stoney, pleaded for help and he quit because Matros refused as he was more interested in settling score with a former witness to another death of Stella Carter, whom she witnessed die after stat orders were denied by a Sun nurse, overworked and underpaid. She testified in that wrongful death lawsuit that cost Sun $105,000. Yet Sun was under an injunction dated 2001 not to under staff or have known broken equipment after killing patients in Burlingame, Calif in 2000. Yet the Dept of Justice refused to prosecuted Sun for this 2003 injustice. Why? Corruption. Read my story how Matros, former CEO of Sun enlisted my former attorney to commit fraud, I sued for malpractice and he died 2 weeks later. Matros asked for a restraining order against me but Judge Gregory W Jones replied, NO, she proved he killed her mother, certainly she can state it, freedom of speech, protected speech and peaceful protest. This blog is peaceful protest. I protest this man is crazy and due diligence should be performed on his past behavior. Sun needs to stop paying him $1 M salary to find real estate to purchase which was part of his job as CEO prior to steeping down in 2010. This is a wasted $1 M to shareholders. Why: Because there exists a $42 M judgement in Kentucky by a man's family who died from dehydration so where will that settlement come from if assets were moved to a REIT?

My mother also was dehyrdrated she suffered complete renal failure shortly after leaving SunBridge in 2003, eventually dying from MRSA and had brain damage from suffering a large stroke they caused. It was a horror to watch the others die as well. I protest Rick Matros ever earning another dime from federal or state funding for healthcare. 

He should be prosecuted for elder abuse.
